Gotta love all the superstition. The reason 666 is the Number of the Beast is because they were referring to the Romans and their numbering system. When this was written, the digit of M, meaning 1,000 had not been invented yet, so the digits they had were DCLXVI = 666.

Im pretty sure they misread a scripture and found out the real number was 616 so now everyone wasted their time on 666 for nothing :1orglaugh

could have swarn it would be 667 but thats just me. my math might be off a bit.

What calendar do you use? Happens every 1,000 years, but 10 was close.
