Wordpress replacement
Can of you guys suggest a replacement for wordpress that will handle 50k+/day?
I tried some stress testing on www.imagepost.com (which is running wordpress) and it died under a 50k/day simulation. Damn script is such a pig. Anyway, if you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it. Also, if you know a designer who works with whatever script you suggest, lemme know. |
Use WP-Cache. Should be fine.

I swear by serendipity :thumbsup

WP can indeed handle more than 50k
you must be doing something very wrong |
Try turning of some useless plugins that make the amount of queries go up to 120 (and 12 is normal)

hmm, maybe you guys can offer me some performance tips?
I'm running wordpress version 2.0.2 i have the wp-pager plugin and wp-cache plugin, that's it. I'd love to keep wordpress but it just kicks the shit out of my server for some reason. |

I turn off all the plugins, edit the code in footer.php so that it shows the amount of queries in the footer. And then I start activating every plugin. And then I check out how many queries every plugin uses. If it uses too much queries then I simply decide not to use it. And the plugins that do not drastically fuck up the amount of queries may stay :) |

Maybe you need a replacement for your host

Honestly, imagepost.com doesn't load that fast for me from here, but it seems to have most to do with the number of connections possible... it takes forever to get all the graphics to download. Once I have them, most of the other pages load okay.
Something not good is happening on the server, it looks very much not optimized at all. Alex |
