if your running exchange i HIGHLY recommend symantec premium anti-spam + Mail security though the newer version is called somthign different i believe but needless to say.. zero problems ever. *note this runs on the server side so you don't have to make any changes on your side*

I use Spamihilator, takes a while before the learning filter kicks in but I like it, blocks 99% of all spam I get on all mail accounts.

Wonder how that compares with Thunderbird in the long run? I've been training it's filter for a couple weeks and would guess it's up to about 70-80%. Then again, I've been busy since installing it and have only been checking e-mail once every couple days or so.

We douse spammers with buckets of burning oil from the ramparts. Then we unleash archers on the remaining survivors.

spamihilator. it's free and it rocks. there are also free plug-ins you can download for added protection.
