Anyone else on here play the guitar
 

Just curious. I've been playing for over 8 years and I couldn't imagine not being able to play. It is so much fun and it's a great stress reliever too. Hopefully within the next year or two I can get a band going because that seems like it would be a blast.

Can you play "Aqua Lung" on that?

i play the guitar...and like the skin flute, it too, is made of wood....but ya, i've been playing for about 8 years too, and i couldn't imagine not being able to make music...i even got a tattoo of a guitar last week!

Nice, I've been mulling over getting a tattoo as well. I was thinking of getting the Gibson headstock and somehow getting poker in there too. That's another one of my weaknesses is poker. So having a tat with both guitar and poker represented would be awesome. Just need to come up with a design now.

Stick with it. I've only been seriously devoting time to it for about the last year or two and I have gotten a lot better. With me, I can't read music and it's hard for me to look at guitar tabs and stay focused enough to learn a whole song, so I just break it into smaller chunks and learn it that way.

I play bass I got a 1987 BC RICH mockingbird NJ series with the built thru neck before they started bolting the neck to the body white pearl color.... can play just about every marilyn manson song on it too...

And yes, I do play the guitar, for an insanely long time, but i'm prolly horribly out of practice.

I have been playing for almost 20 years.

I can say playing is great but being in a band and spreading your music to a live audience is unexplainable.

Start a band no matter how hard it is!!!

The best night of my life was a huge show in front of 1000 people sold out in Berkly.

We played two party's before it and partied all night after.

Try not to cling to cover songs though in the end it will pay off more if you use your imagination.

I've got some friends that are in bands and when I go see their shows and hang out with the other bands I just feel at home. It's definitely something I will do, but I don't want to try it too soon and then get discouraged. I want to make sure I am good enough first.

used to play guitar in a folk band many moons ago and trumpet in a jazz/concert band - haven't picked up a guitar or any other musical instrument and played in a few years though

hmm.. perhaps I should change that!
