Yo Ramos - From a friend.
yo ramos. i think that you should not take certan things personal. from some of the responses that these people are talking about, i genuinely don't think its you behind it. if it is, i am super surprised. don't forget the "business and friends" thing. if you reread the posts with that mentality you will see that some of the people that you know, like me, like juicy, are not "dissing" or "hating" on you. you also have to remember that this board loves to mash on the people that are the face of a company. its been like that since the stone ages in online adult.
you're the new guy, on the staff of a program with affiliates sending support requests with no replies. its easy for alot of people who don't know you to say stuff. you're own boss came here and told everyone publicly that no one was responding because everyone is busy fixing problems that they already know about. but the affiliates have problems now. thats just how it is. you're kinda in a no win situation here. not really though. you can win by talking to these people and letting them know where the progress is and return the emails and icqs to those people that sent them to you. i am giving my unsolicited advice here bro. you inherited years worth of mess from fleshlight as far as online people are concerned. a great product it is, but with a poor commerce and affiliate tracking issues. it is very easy for you're being in toronto at a show to be translated by people, (especially people that may have a bullseye on you), to interpreted that you're off partying and don't care. my personal thinking is if you don't care, why the fuck would you take the job? to be the worst program? i don't think that is why you took the job. i think you took the job because you know that you can make the difference and it was a good opportunity. i said it a few times before in a few other threads that you are one of the top 3 promoters in this business and i still mean that. all you need to do is tidy up those backend issues that everone is working on and better your communication skills with these people a little bit. i am even taking the time to write this because i know that things can be fixed relatively easy and i think you are catching alot of excess flak from people that just don't like you. well, i just needed to get that out there to make sure you didn't take my earlier "business" oriented posts to man someting they don't. peace. have a good time. be safe. get back and get on this playa! make it happen! airek |
Real-Estate...:pimp

alot of these folks seem to typing out of jealousy too man

Great post Airek... It's hard to get discouraged in a situation like this, but you've just got to be strong. You've got it under control Ramos!
|
great thread airek, true constructive criticism, which is something rare on GFY. I think you just came into a new company at the worst possible time, and theres nothing you can do now, but pick up the tempo and get it done. you have the skills Ramos, and I really hope you come off of this in the best way possible and really kickass over at Fleshlight.
you know I've got nothin but love for you bro. |
great post A1R3K :thumbsup
|
So true..there are always sharks just circling when a man is down..I hope this shit gets worked out Ramos always has been good to me

If the higher ups at fleshlight hired ramos to promote, he's at the show promoting. If they hired him to take care of day to day issues for the company, he is not. Whether it's an issue or not depends on what exactly he got hired to do.
If they, themselves don't understand how incredibly important it is for THEM to relay to Ramos a reasonable time frame in which issues will be addressed, that's their fault and there's nothing Ramos is going to be able to do to change that. Ramos is the middle guy between the affiliates and the company, no matter how many sales are coming in and by who. Ramos can come up with good marketing ideas and be a "nice guy" all day long but if everything he communicates from the affiliates to the company don't get heard and acted upon, he's not going to have the growth potential there that he initially expected. That's not his fault. Hey, shit happens though. They might be a bunch of ball dropping asshats but Ramos, you need to at least ACT like you care. That dude that sent one sale as you mentioned in another thread, could be paying your wages for years to come if you play on his level and treat him with the value and respect he deserves. I know you have it in you, or I wouldn't have taken the time to type it out. If no one from the company has been hired to address issues other than you, then a convention does not mean you're not obligated to represent. You gotta step up! |
this is good stuff buddy
|
Great post, solid advice and good friend!
|
Sweet post and i agree Ramos is a super guy and he will make it. Sometimes with all programs shit happens and affiliates complain. Well they have the right because it is their traffic and their money. Just be true to them and let them know what is going on because they deserve to know. Nothing personal just business.

Ramos-
I take bullets for a living bro- Keep your head up and remember there are others who get slammed for the same shit- you are a promoter, and never lose sight of that. If you promote and get people to the company you represent, and they don't hold up their end of the bargain- it's not on YOU. However- it does make things tough for you in the long run.- Be honest, be forthright, and be humble The sheep will all love you tomorrow, all you have to do is buy them drinks at the next tradeshow and they'll all go around saying how smart and great you are... :-)) |
PS I hope they are paying you great money
:-)) |
Although I've only been here roughly half a year - Ramos has always been a stand-up guy to us...following through on shipping a hoody, t-shirt and an unexpected but much appreciated Xmas greeting card from Playboy.
Hope you're havin' a blast in Toronto. Might get the opportunity to hook up at some point this weekend. |
pretty sure ramos slept with a tranny last night

And Ramos dude hang in there. You can straighten things out. There *are* legitimate issues even if they're being raised by a one pony show to speak they're still issues. Affiliates are always right, you know that in your bones, so act on it :). I'm in this program for the long run. FleshLight has been standup company for me under Dan's direction and I expect it'll be the same with Ramos running the show. |
for sure, Ramos will be up for the BIG challenge
only time can tell :smokin |
Ramos, hit me up anytime, and I will give you a little advice and help you in any way I can.

Ramos is lucky to have a friend like you Airek!! It's exactly what I love about you! You know your shit and you don't blow smoke up anyone's ass! The problems that FL is facing cannot be fixed over night...hell, they can't be fixed in a week, which I believe is when Ramos started a thread on his new position and the things that they are working on (I'll try to find the thread). We all have faith in him! Peaks and valleys...bumps and crevices! I think we know exactly what he needs to do to rectify the situation. YES Nylz, Weilco, and Ramos...I said Rectify! T4L |

Yo Ramos!
Ages In Online Adult. Make It Happen! You're The New Guy, On The Staff Of A Program With Affiliates Sending Support Requests With No That They Already Know About. But The Affiliates Have Problems Now. Thats Just Where The Progress Is And Return The Emails And Icqs To Those People That Sent Them To You. I Am Giving My Unsolicited Advice Here Bro. With That Mentality You Will See That Some Of The As Far As Online People Are Concerned. A Great Product It Is, But With A Poor May Have A Bullseye On You), To Interpreted That You're Off Partying And Don't Care. I Said It A Few Times Before In A Few Replies. Its Backend Issues That Everone Is Working On And Better Your Communication Skills With These People A Little Bit. I Am Even Taking The Relatively Easy And I Think You Are Catching Alot Of Excess Flak From People Was Responding Because Everyone Is Busy Fixing Problems How It Is. You're Kinda In A No Win Situation Here. Not Really Though. You Can Win By Talking To These People And Letting Them Know I People That You Know, Like Me, Like Juicy, Are Not "Dissing" Or "Hating" On You. You You Inherited Years Worth Of Mess From Fleshlight Don't Think That Is Why You Took The Job. I Think You Took The Job Because You Know That You Can Make The Difference And It Was A Good Care, Why The Fuck Would You Take The Job? To Be The Worst Program? I Time To Write This Because I Know That Things Can Be Fixed Also Have To Remember That This Board Loves To Mash On The People That Are The Face Of A Company. Its Been Like That Since The Stone Don't Think Its You Behind It. If It Is, I Am Super Surprised. Don't Forget The "Business And Friends" Thing. If You Reread The Posts Don't. Peace. Have A Good Time. Be Safe. Get Back And Get On This Playa! That Just Don't Like You. My Personal Thinking Is If You Don't Threads That You Are One Of The Top 3 Promoters In This Business And I Still Mean That. All You Need To Do Is Tidy Up Those People That Commerce And Affiliate Tracking Issues. It Is Very Easy For You're Being In Toronto At A Show To Be Translated By People, (Especially Opportunity. Well, I Just Needed To Get That Out There To Make Sure You Didn't Take My Earlier "Business" Oriented Posts To Man Other Easy For Alot Of People Who Don't Know You To Say Stuff. You're Own Boss Came Here And Told Everyone Publicly That No One Someting They Think That You Should Not Take Certan Things Personal.
