We finally have FORCE SHIELDS! breaking news!!! [Video]
I find it pretty cool, check it out guys, our very first and very crude force field.

nuckin futs

that is sick
|
yeah.. I need my pda to have that feature.. for ugly girls.
|
lol @ chronic avenger
Really I always said it was about time something like this was developed, but in all honesty, I didn't know we were this close...Good news though. P.S. Your sig rocks, NoWhErE! |

hahaha thanx bro |
thats so unreal. sci-fi shit goin on
|
listen to the whole report, that's not a 'force field' or anything even close to resembling one
it shoots a projectile at the incoming object to detonate the warhead before it reaches the target. that's been done for a long time already, though on much larger scales (remember the scud missiles being shot down in the first gulf war) |
Quote:
They don't specify. It takes away the explosive ability of the missile via "classified means". Awesome stuff! :2 cents: |

it's cool regardless but not quite in the realm of sci-fi |

just think of the stuff there not allowed to show. |
Interesting

too little too late...it will take years to deploy
what we need is a microwave field around our tanks....to melt any object within 10 feet of our tanks then just have signs on the tank (do not approach tank) :) |
Quote:
Wouldn't that cause massive radiation or severely harm the environment? I'm not an expert in Microwave technology, but I'm pretty sure it'd be just as harmful for the guys in the tank than the projectiles the Microwaves are trying to destroy |
thats some really cool shit!!
|
thats some cool shit
|
Yea ... another 10 years till they use something that work like that on the field
|
The Fox reporting is rather misleading, it's not a "force field" or an energy field of any kind (a la Star Wars). It's a close-in weapons system, a lot like the Phalanx system on US warships. Essentially it fires a number of small projectiles at the incoming round which destroys the warhead.
If you look closely at the video, you can see objects coming from the direction of the tank to meet the projectile in midair. |
it's not a force shield or field. it's just a radar that pinpoints the projectile and blasts the cone off it

Sensationalism at it's finest...cartoon graphics and all |
sounds interesting but i don't think that would really happen.

That's pretty crazy stuff right there
|
That is not a force field. It is another system along the lines of the starwars project.
|
I invented force fields.
|
quote-Phalanx system on US warships-quote, bingo, we made those in pomona ca. for general dynamics. Most awesome firing power of autotype guns on the planet.

for the record here.... I have blueprints and sketches for a light and magnetic driven engine for civilian use I designed (auto engine replacement), but have never shown anyone. It should work very well , its so basic, its hard to believe no ones put the 2 technologies together yet.
Sometimes I just sit and think and I go "what the hell", ideas are so apparant, "How come no ones done this or that" I think. I have about 4 totally new ideas. But not all are "good" for humankind so I keep them to myself pretty much. At one point I had them all down on paper and prints but I destroyed maybe half a few years ago. I also helped with the design and manufacture of standard and A40 cruise missles (A40=stealth nuke cruisers) I also have a flying sub/air-machine type thing that functions as a bio organism in its operation. I thought that one up back in 83, but at the time computers/chips/controls didnt really exist like now and I couldnt figure out how to effectively get fields of energy controlled correctly to make it all work. Now, its easy... easy as in it can be done, with lots of money and tests. but its doable. This one too I really havent talked about to anyone. I haven't been well lately. (chest hurts and I'm 50+) so I thought I'd drop a few notes for the masses here and there on the net. I plan on taking a few of these ideas with me. A couple are very, very "bad" and I dont feel right talking about them at all. I have seen things most of you can only imagine. I had the idea for a pourus wing to defeat the boundry layer problems back in 78-79, but boeing proved that, though it DID work very well, it was unfeasable due to real world problems. When the guys in black suits came and took the cruise missle program from us, they also took a few other toys we had and gave them to Hughes. I had long wanted to build a ringwing. I had built a model back in 68 thathad no prop, no blades, nothing and I could get it to go maybe 50 ft up... They took that away as well, the bastards. At least I hadnt commited much to digital plans so they didnt get much. After that I pretty much lost faith in any more work like that and I keep to myself now. I havent had a address or phone # or utlity bill in my name now since 1994. I like it that way. I always post by proxies as well. |
force fields are doable, but not in the way you may think of. It would take incredible power and cooling equipment to maintain a field for any lenght of time,,,,,,,, instead, consider this, instaed of constant brute force. flash the field (on-off-on-off) super fast, reducing the heat and need for cumbersome equipment. that plus the flash arrangment may make for a higher yield to boot.... think about it.
think of the power it would take to run your studio camra flash units nonstop. hot hot or how many circuts will they trip... then think about how that reflects on force shield generation. put it all together and you have something much more capable than you may think....... anyways.. its late gotta sleep. |

actually, I sat here a moment and thought.... you could actually make a Hull of a ship out of a field like this. You only need build an interior stucture and project your form around you once inside. the leak down rate could be controlled by the density of the flash shielding depending on cycle ratings.
hmmmmm..... think about this... you could send, via transmission a digital plot outline of your hull or... whatever, to be reassembled again in a out of sight set coordinate. theoretically you could send a bomb by electronic delivery, sort uh..... I'd have to think that out more. (and yes I cant spell for shit, anyone that knew me knows this. I didnt care, I dont have time to be letter perfect, to much to do. Im lucky if I sleep 4 hrs at a time as it is, I have so much to do yet.) |
