Chris Daughtry OFF American Idol
 

I finally got around to watching the results show for this week's American Idol and I'm shocked here, I can't believe that Chris Daughtry got the boot, I'm actually pissed off, ha ha ha. Then to top it off, Katherine McPhee was the second lowest.

I don't understand how Elliot and Taylor can be in the top 3, sure Taylor is good at his style, but I don't see him as the American Idol. As far as Elliott goes, there's just something about him that I don't like.

I guess that there's no sense for me to watch the show any more, as I'm sure that there's quite a few others that aren't gonna watch it with Chris gone. And since Katherine was the lowest last week, she'll probably be the next to go and it'll be Elliot and Taylor in the finale which will suck bad.

This whole season has sucked for me. Dont like the songs they've sung at all. Whats next, Elton John? I mean come on. How about some songs made after 1980.

Katherine should have been gone long before IMO. She isn't very good, and is certainly no entertainer. She's pretty though.

They start the show with those horrible freak show audition shows for what, 12 weeks before theres any real talent? Then they stuff the show full of these has-been's looking for some free promotion time. It's really lost me. I liked season one and two.

Elliot is far and away the most talented volcalist.

I hadnt seen this yet but im surprised Chris got booted, though he didnt have a good night. Katharine had a HORRIBLE night, wekaest performances of the competition by far and I thought she would go home.

Then, I MUST be the only one in the world who truly does NOT see Elliot's talent....

I'm not surprised that Chris got booted, as he is a rocker through and through...but Katherine? She cannot stay on key and her performances the last two weeks have been terrible.

Like PR_Tom said, this season's been brutal. If it wasn't for the slutty thoughts I have about Katherine I'd be in my office while my wife watched it in the living room.

I'm glad it's not just me then that doesn't see what's so great about Elliott, they always boast about how great he is, but I don't see it either. We'll see how many cds either Taylor or Elliot sell after they win.

I hope Chris realizes it's better for his career not to win. Now he can be viewed as more genuine and less manufactured. Any rocker who wins would loose a lot of cred.

Elliot isnt bad, neither is Tyler really.
Just that Chris was better.. I was shocked when I heard Chris was off.. no cable tv here in CR yet still getting everything settled so I heard about it & read.. its just madness.. he'll get a deal no problem tho.

Chris will have the best career out of all of them for sure. His voice is more relavent in this era for sure. I dont understand why they pick artists that are most people have never even listened to just because they were famous in past decades. They need to use more current songs for sure and get rid of all the group singing crap while they ride in a piece of crap ford focus. The first and second season was quite good but its going downhill fast. :2 cents:

He is going to get a million offers. Even though he was my favorite I think it is better that he did not win because now he can go which ever way he wants in his carrer. He is going to be successful no matter what.:thumbsup

To be honest Chris was a bland American Rock type with no charisma. Did think he would win though as that Bryan Adams soft rock genre is popular in the US

Taylor Hicks is by far the most entertaining and has the saving grace of not seeming to take himself too seriously

A couple of weeks back Chris made the comment along the lines of 'my fans expect certain things from me...' after that poncey up my own arse statement I wanted him to go plus his style bores the pants off me

There was a lot of money being wagered on Chris to win.

Do you ever wonder why they never tell you the vote call counts? Who controls the vote? Who monitors the vote?

With all that money going on Chris it was an easy play for the bookmakers to make tens of millions by taking out Chris by rigging the vote.

The music industry is riddled with organized crime influences. There's always been shady business practices in this biz. Not surprising to see its migrated to this show now.

I would never be surprised that there's rigging....and I knew, from the start that Chris would not win. I also think it's better for him NOT to win, as was stated above...his future, I believe, is assured. I don't see him as bland..and he's got great eyes. Once he learns how to sing from his gut....he will soar.

But, my bet has always been Katherine, because she is the embodiment of American 'looks vs. substance' philosophy...Elliot cannot win because of his teeth....Taylor can't win because, well, he's adorable and he's talented..but Simon doesn't like him.

If Elliot does win, I will never watch this show again.

Agree, Chris was my favorite all along but he totally doesn't fit the American Idol profile and I couldn't see them allowing him to win...

I wonder if he is going to accept Fuel's offer? What an opportunity :thumbsup

I agree that Katherine will win for those reasons. My prediction is that the final two will be Taylor and Katherine with Katherine winning, although out of the three I would love to see Taylor win it all.

I'm going to bet on Elliot and Katherine being the two finalists. Taylor goes next week.

If Taylor goes next week, and Katherine wins... well there's plenty of better shows on Tuesday night and Wednesday night anyway :)

Katherine is too shrill on the high notes.........she simply cannot hit them........she's hot as all hell but isn't good enough in the end........Chris had the most talent and best voice.......Taylor is the most entertaining and probably the most likeable AI contestant ever.......Elliot is a nice guy and an underdog, but lets get serious, he's no Idol winner. I think it will now be Taylor.
