prolly too much heat and draw too much juice . . my note book is at 4200 . . slow to boot but runs fine

seagate my have something along those lines in the works.. their 2.5inch sata II drievs are sick..

not available for laptop's yet - drives run too hot and draw too much juicy!
I don't see drive spead as the issue in performance anyway - the seek time on a 7500 compaired to a 10k won't make a noticable differance anyway - the average speed of a lap top drive is 5,400 rpm anyway - I don't think you will see a real change till drive buffer sizes hit the 32 and 64 k levels |

Got myself a 10k rpm harddrive for my desktop with amd64.
I'm lovin it... no more bottle necks. Things just work so much better. |
