I dont know but who cares if our teens are having more anal sex? Shouldnt we be putting that money to trying to teach them about protective sex and how NOT to have kids at 14?

Honestly, that's a pretty dumb post.

If you don't do research, you don't know what's going on. If you don't know what's going on, everything you do is guided by guessing.

For example, it could be that more teens are having (unprotected) oral and anal sex because they believe it's safer than normal sex. In that case, it would be wise for the government to start campaigns making teens aware of the dangers of unprotected oral and anal sex.
On the other hand, it could be possible that sexual standards are simply changing, but that those who experiment more than others are also more aware of protection and use it more often. In that case, campaigning should be aimed more at those engaging in unprotected vaginal sex.
Also, a higher incidence of oral and anal sex could simply indicate more teens engaging in sex. Once again, a possibility with many indications.

Basically, research is important.

Not sure if i agree... All throughout middle/high school they were teaching us about safe sex, masturbation, etc... there was no "sex is forbidden" lectures. At least down here in Miami, FL they did.
