Quick Photoshop Question
 

I know this is probably extremely simple, but I've never had to do it before & I can't figure it out for the life of me.

What I'm trying to do is just add a small border around the outside a button. Can someone tell me how I go about doin' this?

make sure the edge is selected

goto select, modify, expand

enter the amount of pixels you want the border
then fill it with your color
