depends on what you make per join from it i figure most people would go for more per signup then rewards and such.

I'd say anywhere from 30k-50k depending on the size of the program (assuming it's porn)

Well I know people who send more than that to programs and get maybe a dinner and strippers at a show and a Christmas basket :) Most guys making that much can buy their own fun. Come up with something creative if you want to thank him/her for the traffic.

I have no idea what someone like that should be paid.

I'd do it like this...

1000 signups brought in = base salary 5k...
700 signups paid to the affiliate
Split the 300 shaved signups down the middle ...
150 signups to the rep @ 30 =4500

Total check to the rep $9500

Im just happy making that type of money I can buy what I need.

I have a sponsor that pays me 60% for doing those types of numbers and over 1000 per month if you count in rebills. I never even gotten a chrismas card from them in 5 years. But the checks come every wensday and that matters the most.

He should get 20% bump every time he top his previous pay period sales.

Until the affiliate figures out you are shaving him 300 sales and then he stops sending traffic and the problem is solved for "John Doe"

at only 450 total shave you are probably shaving him less than the other program , so he'll stay;-)))

When he bleats turn off the shave...

At the end of the day a smart affiliate will worry not about conversion rates , raw clicks , uniques or anything else....

Only about which program sends him the biggest check in relation to the amount of traffic he sends.

And finding that balance is EXACTLY imho where a good "rep" earns every penny of his share.

No one is "entitled" to a bonus... if they were, it wouldn't be a bonus.

If a company wants to give them something nice for doing such a great job, that's their perogative. :2 cents:

If you want more, then you renagotiate the commission/salary.
