GnR Ringtones?
 

I am not at all a big phone user, but I am starting to set some of the features on my Ericsson. I want the opening riff of Paradise City as a ring tone. Know any places that offer the real mpg clips instead of stuff that sounds generated?

Play the song in windows media player and record it with windows recorder. saw it as should record as .wav.

also can you get it to your phone through usb or do you need me to put it up on the web for you to DL..

How nice of you! :) That rocks! I have a Sony Ericsson Z520a. The manual says it will take .wav with 16kHz as maxium sample rate. (whatever that means)

I don't have a usb that came with the phone, so I assume I'd need to d/l it. I'm glancing through the manual to see how I can do that, and it looks like I have to set up some sort of data account. That in and of itself may take me hours to figure out.:winkwink:

I can throw it up on a wap site for you to download, you will need a data plan to access the web. if you arein verizon or sprint, you are screwed! You can't get out of there walled garden.

If you have a data plan let me know and I'll send you the link. If not you will have to try and blue tooth it to yourself or find a data cable.

I know that you can buy two of them....Sweet Child of Mine and Welcome to the Jungle from Sympatico.ca. Not sure how that works with US based providers...

I'm on cingular, and am going to hook up with them in a bit and see if I have a data plan or not. I'm pretty clueless, though I have found out where the settings for it are on the phone.

I'll let you know what I find out. :)

I could get those two from cingular, but I really wanted the other. That song puts a smile on my face every time I hear it, and it annoys me every time the phone rings.

I'm hoping for a balance of sorts here, :winkwink:

I've found out that I do have a data plan. Not sure on how it works exactly, but I am making progress. :)

As a backup plan, I have the manchild looking for a cable while he is out today.
