Yahoo Mail in my referrer stats -- anyone else get this???
 

Every day I get tons of referring urls from yahoo mail in my awstats. I have no idea why. I don't do any mailing of any kind. ...and for some reason they all seem to be from Egypt & Yemen. Does anyone else get this? Any ideas?

Its someone showing your site to other people.

Seems like e-mail hits to me :)

or maybe you posted something in yahoo groups?

Doesn't sound that odd. I get hits from webmail clients all the time.

other people promoting your site via email? friends sharing your link? who knows

Yep, get that alot too...it's yahoo group traffic, most likely due to pics being hotlinked from your domain and placed via html in the email.
