Cheapest Domain Registrar?

What is the cheapest domain registrar you know of?

svenne66 05-09-2006 11:30 AM

Domain parking?

Does domain parking give anything? Has anyone experience with how much per unique visitor? Which is the best one?

chupachups 05-09-2006 11:33 AM

Namecheap is the best even though you may occasionally get it cheaper elsewhere. Whois protection is included and their interface is brilliant.

shuki 05-09-2006 11:36 AM

www.Fabulous.com

$6.75

jollyperv 05-09-2006 11:39 AM

Hmm... would be nice, but there is surely something nasty in the fine print.

SolidScripting 05-12-2006 12:49 PM

I'll have to check out fabulous.

Are they another enom reseller? I know namecheap is just one of several enom resellers. The cheapest you can get there is 6.75 if you become a reseller yourself but it requires a decent sized pre-payment to get that volume discount.

Next few domains I pickup will be at fabulous. My only complaint about enom/namecheap is if you let your domain expire by ONE day they snatch it up. I lost one recently, not a big deal, but when I emailed them asking how much to get it back, even if a 100 or more, I got ZERO response. I don't mind paying extra for 'woops' lost domains, etc...but a ZERO response was kinda harsh.

:/

Namecheap's interface absoultely sucks. I dont know what it is that all of you like about them so much, but I personally hate thier site. SnapNames dumped some of my domains I won into one of thier accounts, and I cant wait to get it out of there. Of course, I still hate tahoedomains.com the most.

Another "great" registrar that Network Soultions introduced me to.

Yeah, its right here:

Note: Limit 50 domain names per customer at special $2.95 pricing. Pricing valid for first year only. Domains will renew at $8.25 at time of renewal, unless volume pricing arrangements have been made.

If you have a Yahoo account, you know you get all the time their ad with $2.99/year, if you go from their mainsite, you see only $9.95/year ... :2 cents:

I have had nothing but trouble with them - hard to transfer domain, dns transfer fuck ups, cant renew etc... But I guess it might be a case of the mondays :)

Hmm... had no trouble from them at all. Been with them for 4 years, when I finally got tired of GoDaddy's BS. I haven't transfered any domains to them though. Tried to transfer my godaddy domains but godaddy won't let me because of the domains-by-proxy service, which they won't let me cancel. :)

soulboy 05-12-2006 05:30 PM

$2.95 for the first year and $8 the renewals

We do not work with Snapnames, so your claim that they somehow dumped domains into one of your accounts with us is impossible.

You must be thinking of some other "NameWhatever" company. Our control panel is consistantly rated one of the best in the industry.
