So my blog is doing ok but whats the next step?

Hi everyone,

I am quite new to this adult thing and have been doing a teen webcam blog over at bloobs.net for a few weeks now.

I have been averaging about 50 hits per day from blog directories. link exchanges and a small trickle of search eingine hits.

What is the next step? How to I increse my traffic? Is my design a pile-o-shit?

I am yet to make a sale and will not stop till I do!!!lol

Anyways if anyone cares to shed some light or can help me out I'd be greatful!

Jay @ bloobs.net

You might want to start with a slick "search enlightenment" blog called Traffick. It can be found at Traffick.com, and it's updated usually every other day. There are also a ton of blogs out there with a lot of good information, get on Del.Icio.Us and browse around there, get a feel for what people are tagging and sharing....I am sure you know how to determine the popularity of keywords and such, teknorati and similar websites also fall into this category.

Also I suggest reading various forums... to give you a start have a look at webmasterworld.com - lots of good info and tons of categories to research...just have patience and after awhile you will start to get the hang of how things work with the search engines, just keep in mind google, etc, constantly updates their "algorithms" and more recently they have been bringing brand new datacenters "live" to the google search world, and have been testing then trickling them in since around November of last year....this may not really matter to you, I hardly know what other effects it has other than the fact that some google datacenters contain different information/cache for your website, resulting in different SERP rankings for your pages, etc. Analyze raw data, install scripts if you do not have any currently...most of the time your host will have a decent traffic stats script installed when you signup for hosting.

This might sound like a foreign language right now, and by no means is it all you will need to know...however, if you are serious - then start reading and researching until your eyes bleed.

Remember also to concentrate on one task at a time throughout your ventures, this will prove much greater success in the long run.
