the currency converter is wayyyy off.

for example, go to http://www.tldtrading.com/auctiondetails.php?id=4 and click onvert next to the start bid: $ amount. convert the $1000usd to CAD and see what it gives ya. it gave me $1300+. I wish it was still $1.30+ on the dollar lol

Maybe if you're going to have a site called TLD Trading, you might want to trade some TLD's. LOL

Do you own any TLD's, btw? Didn't think so. :2 cents:

what are you on ???
ok please explain what a tld is, as i thought it was a Top Level Domain such as a .com or a co.uk, or a .org etc
maybe i am wrong mind

czarina 05-09-2006 02:41 PM

I dont like the domain name, but other than that it could work. But you will be trying to compete with someone who has cornered that market.

You run a website supposedly seling TLD's, and you don't know what a TLD is? LOL Man that's kinda funny, sad, and pathetic - all rolled into one.

http://www.icann.org/tlds/

http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/T/TLD.html

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...-level_domains

According to your site, I can buy a TLD through you. Is this correct?

Didn't think so.

RogerV7 05-09-2006 02:45 PM

hmm the site is ok. but getting people is going to be hard. try to get some banner trades. see if you can make some friends that like your concept. spread the name on resource site and forums. link trades ect

And to perhaps clarify even more, it's not "such as a .com" or "such as a .org" there's only ONE .com TLD. And if you sold me .com, I'd own nearly the entire internet.

almost had me there however google is your friend

have a look at http://www.google.co.uk/search?num=1...ition&ct=title

and i quote
Top Level Domain. A Top Level Domain represents the last part of a domain name. For example, the domain name "findmyhosting.com", the TLD is ".com". The domain name system is designed as a hierarchy. The root is the highest level of the hierarchy, followed by the top level domain, then followed by the second-level domain. For example, for the domain "espn.com", "espn" is the second-level domain, "com" is the top level domain, and the "." is the root.

a link to the the site would be nice :thumbsup

Make Money on "Appraisals". There are domain brokers etc and folks that would genuinely like to be referred from that angle.

Take a small budget and get a keyword list for your first attacks to gain folks that Have domains and those that broker them.

Some may even pay.

Some of them are even posters on GFY or readers.

Your first ounces of gold are in Appraisals.

Pinklinkz 05-10-2006 01:46 AM

fact is .. its a play on words as auctioning domain names, and saying i got a .com for sale etc
and its easier to rememer tldtrading.com than it is to remember domainnamestrading.com

Plus keep in mind...

Your venture is more mainstream than Pr0n.

Anyway, you're not trading TLD's so I don't know why you even bothered calling your site such a name. I find it amusing that you never even understood what I'm talking about. All the while trying to imply you're such a domain expert.

Dork.

listen to yourself and get a grip man
we are trading domain names, domain names as far as i am aware still end in .com etc .... if domaintrading or domainnames were still available do you not think I would have registered them instead
