I had a black lab like 8 years ago but my ex took him. Now I have a 5 year old yellow lab named Doobie. He is a nut. Hope you and the family are ready for a highly active doggie.

I have a 14 YO male black lab sitting two feet from right now.

His hip is bad but he is a happy dog and likes to stay right next to me
all the time !

He still likes to fetch the ball but some days he lays down after a few throws
so I think this is his last summer with me ?

Cute dog man...labs are really nice, I had a lab/rottie cross that I had to get put down last year. He was about 14 years old, here is a pic of him with my old roomates pit bull a year or so before he died. He was a pretty healthy dog right until the end

I grew up with a black lab. They are the best family dogs. Mine used to pull me through the snow on my sled when I was around 8 or 9. He was great to play with.
