My ex has really straightened out. Not perfect, of course, but who wants perfect, anyway? How boring, lol. But I mean he has kept a steady job that he's being promoted at, and he's caught up his back child support and he's keeping up with it now. He's very involved with our kids now, and he sees them on nearly a daily basis. He's moved out of his sister's place and has a couple as roomates, but is essentially on his own, taking care of himself and his son.

There's really no reason we shouldn't get back together. He is still in love with me, and I still love him....And, more importantly, I respect him again, and I am almost at the point where I trust him again.

But....

Even though I am not out whoring around, I like the fact that I could if I wanted to. I like knowing that I am free to make out with, or roll around with any guy that I want to. But truth be told, I really don't exercise that option much, so what's the point in keeping that option open?

Well, we did some soft swinging before. He wasn't comfortable with other men being involved, but I had no such qualms about other women. I know no pussy in this world is enough to take him away; the guy is madly, crazy in love with me. But on the flip side, just loving someone, or being loved, isn't enough..there are a LOT of other factors that are just as important in a relationship.

I do think we will end up back together. But part of me wants to enjoy the little bit of freedom I have right now before I jump back into a commitment. Like I said, it's not the act that is appealling as much as it's the freedom. But I guess I feel guilty for wanting it, too.
