There IS cable, but I use satellite for internet. Tornadoes are always taking down the cable lines. LOL

What kind of satellite connection is that? Is it fairly fast?

Very nice... does bad weather interfere with your net connection though?

xNetworx 05-08-2006 12:35 PM

Its CLOSE to cable speed, but not quite. It hasn't went down because of rain since I got it, and we've had some obnoxiously strong storms this spring.

I had the same set up when I lived in the mountains a few months ago....we had huge snow storms and all kinds of goofy shit....the only time it went down was when the satellite itself got caked with snow....and I just scrape it off and throw some cooking spray on it and it never fouled again....until it wore of and caked again....oh and i noticed people with laser detectors....(cop spotters) when they drove up it would interfere with it and shut the connection down....

almost cable speed.....theres basicly a 5 second stall per load, but it blinks up right after the 5 second transfer time....

direcway
s support service sucks monkey cock....outsourced to somewhere in east india....people reading out of books that probly never seen the actual model...and refuse to transfer you to someone that can actually help ;)

other than those, its a great service especially when you live in the wilderness and say cable connections arent within your reach...
