Tony Blair at his montly press conference - "we are not going to invade Iran"
While addressing the issue of why Jack Straw was removed as the foreign secretary and one of the press rumours that it was because Straw didn't want to go into Iran and Blair wanted to keep the option open. He said that it had nothing to do with it and we weren't going to be involved with any invasion anyway.
Of course we know politicans are more than capable of uturns but it looks like the UK isn't automatically in on anything that might be Stated by the powers the be abroad.
Either comforting words or words that are going to come back to haunt him.
