Paysite and content ?

Hello,

I'm planing to build some paysites using my own content.

which amount of content is acceptable / recommanded on a highly niched paysite member area ? (mini/average/max amount of sets and vids).

Thank you.

You would probably want a lot, since you're going to be charging people for the content. I'm sure they are going to want the most bang for their buck, know what I'm sayin?

Your probably going to want to also have plugins like feeds and what not.

I suggest you also get a good web hosting company, check my sig, Tear2Hosting ( http://www.tear2hosting.com ) and if you ICQ me at 333-300-283 I can give you your first month for only $0.99!

Content

I think this highly depends on what kind of content you plan on showing and how much you want to charge for it. If it's something general like "Babes with Big Boobs" or "Horny women giving head" I'd say you need a lot of content, since you can find this stuff everywhere for free or for $ 1.99. In a time where every other college coed shows pink on the web you need something better in order to be successful.

If you have a new killer concept, niche content, or something spectacular that nobody else has, you might get away with 1500 pics and 40 vids for the start. In this case people would pay to see your extraordinary stuff and wouldn't feel they got ripped off.
What you want to avoid in any case is customers charging back tehir CC cards because they paid 20 bucks for a membership and only get some boring galleries of lame mainstream stuff.

Also think about uploads. You don't want to put all your content online right away and never update your page.

It's also a good idea to join a couple of successful paypages to see what others have. It's a small expense compared to pissing away money and time by doing it wrong.

yep, i agree with Jenny S, also giving them regular frequent updates is something that keeps the members, they want to stick around and see what new exciting stuff you have uploaded, otherwise they get bored and move on quickly.

Good advice all around, Jenny. :)

agree with Jenny S. - 1500 pics + 40 videos sounds ok. Many niche paysites start with less and customers still buy it.

And add Epicfeeds for to keep content fresh:)

Jenny makes some good points, and you definitely want to avoid the chargebacks....
