Letters of opp... (pics)
Dear sir or Madam,
My name is yota71 and I am an adult website developer. I am writing to you about the .XXX TLD agreement that is being proposed. I would like to take some time to help people that are not in the adult industry understand why I am apposed. There will be many effects on the adult industry and the hundreds of millions of legally aged adults that will also be affected. There are millions honest adult webmasters all over the world. The adult website business is one of the largest industries on the internet. The reason that this is possible is because of the people that surf these sites. Good working tax paying Americans visit these sites in numbers almost beyond comprehension. As with any industry there are always going to be individuals that will abuse the system. We as webmasters understand this and are apposed to material that is not appropriate being viewed by people that are under age. It is my responsibility as a parent of two to monitor my children and their internet usage. We also understand that in working America it is often difficult to control. There are thousands of programs available to block viewing of these websites from those who are not of age. With this in mind I ask this question. Is it the United States Governments job to regulate these types of occurrences? This is not a question of whether adult material is right or rong. This industry has been so exposed to the public and been a subject of debate for years upon years. This is one reason I believe this bill could not ever properly be executed and enforced. If .XXX TLD is passed the un-honest webmasters and some of the honest webmasters will seek to relocate there businesses. Relocating to other countries some of which may be terrorist in nature. This relocation will send millions if not billions of American dollars to secondary and third world countries. Enforcement of .XXX TLD will be at cost the American tax payers. The legal and technical power needed to execute enforcement will be devastating to the United States Economy. As Americans it is our job to insure the mental and physical safety of our children. .XXX TLD is not the proper and most efficient way to control the abuse of this industry. In conclusion the people that support the idea of controlling the abuse the most are us. When morality and freedom are abused we as Webmasters suffer. I love my children more than anything in the world and do not want them exposed to things that are not suitable. Yet it is not the responsibility of the United States Government to do my job at the taxpayer?s expense. Thank you and God Bless America, yota71 made you look, take care of your responsability:winkwink: [email protected] |
