I will second this motion for Arles.. My have to shut down other programs if you don't have enough memory

Sparks 05-07-2006 09:43 PM

2,000 pics in 7 minutes isn't bad at all! Nice work.

Mr.Right - Banned For Life 05-07-2006 09:50 PM

Arles is fantastic, but acd is great for viewing.

my comp is gooood! :)

Gaybucks 05-07-2006 10:24 PM

We use Eyebatch and LOVE it... resize, rename, add watermarks, change image type, all sorts of other cool stuff...

zigx 05-07-2006 10:25 PM

acdsee did it rather quickly AND i was able to select directories... which made it easy bc i have my content organized in dirs and so by selecting a group of DIRs it watermarked Everything inside.

Sosa 05-07-2006 10:25 PM

love acdsee :)

deSIGN4porn 05-08-2006 12:15 AM

Acdsee is nice software, but the versions above 5.0 are total trash. Millions of functions, but basic functionality for browsing and thumbnailing (checked on a disk with 50.000 pics) wasn't impoved much. Plus they don't 't show animated GIF with correct timing, lot's of small glitches.

Actually converting back to XnView

Whats the best freeware program for this?

SmokeyTheBear 05-08-2006 12:27 AM

do it on the fly with php , doesnt take any time at all :) plus you can change watermarks depending on if your pic is hotlinked or not.. :) hit me up if your interested.

( i.e. small watermark normally but if the pic it hotlinked a bigger watermark is applied )

SmokeyTheBear 05-08-2006 12:30 AM

heres an example of one created and watermarked on the fly ( notice the smokey watermark , refresh the page and you will get a new watermark.. and notice the second picture will randomly rotate )

Use "actions" in the Photoshop. That'll automate the process and those 2,000 will be done within about 5 minutes.

SmokeyTheBear 05-08-2006 12:37 AM

or you could do both randomly on the fly like this
heres one image
http://kotiki.ru/funny/0.jpg

http://kotiki.ru/funny/0.jpg
and another pic

http://www.buffalorange.com/images/awards/funny.gif

http://www.buffalorange.com/images/awards/funny.gif

now we will combine them together using the following liking code
(notice both image urls contained within the url

tools.webspacemania.com/free/freehttp://kotiki.ru/funny/0.jpghttp://www.buffalorange.com/images/awards/funny.gif.png

the result is

http://tools.webspacemania.com/free/.../funny.gif.png

so when the file went it in it was like blah.jpg and came out blah.JPG.

Thats fine if ur a windows user, but if i upload that shit to my linux based server its a Totally different file. SO i had to batch rename after lol.
