kak_azn will take over the porn industry but Lawrence Connor will still fail.

And please.. make sure someone registers sexeducation.xxx before the pedo does..

madawgz 05-07-2006 04:36 PM

polish_aristocrat 05-07-2006 04:36 PM

no power shift, the domains will be given out arbitrary, only to confirmed industry members ( friends of the few players who supported this idea few years ago )

Bluecircle 05-07-2006 04:36 PM

no because .xxx isn't happening

polish_aristocrat 05-07-2006 04:37 PM

fight the .xxx !

polish_aristocrat 05-07-2006 04:37 PM

not to mention that the domains would be priced abt about $70 = 10 times more expensive than .coms

The small guy is about to get fucked... just like in any other biz. The rich get richer and poor get poorer. The Adult industy is no different.

spacedog 05-07-2006 05:06 PM

sad part is, many of the prime domains are single words that are not trademarkable & no one can claim ownership of just a single word.

While Icann makes their decision on may 10th, most of the what you call players, will be getting stoned & shitfaced in Toronto while all the smaller people grab up all the .xxx :1orglaugh

People are crazy if they think anyone has legal right or claims to a specific .xxx extension.

If I bought adult.xxx , well then, adult.com wouldnt have legal grounds because their brand is adult.com , whereas adult.xxx is a separate entity. Same goes for sex.xxx fuck.xxx hahahaha.xxx pussy.xxx , etc, etc, etc

Single words that are only words are free game for the taking irregardless of what anyone thinks.

The only ones people have grounds for legal issue are names like mayorsmoney.xxx , etc--stuff like that.

All the good .XXX domains will be snapped up before all these noobs that support .XXX( because they think they are going to get some great .XXX names and make millions), have time to even think about which names they want.

If this passes these noobs have to go back to working at McDonald's because of .XXX maybe they'll think about how they fucked themselves in the ass.

Fact is that Congress willmost likely pass a law saying that all adult websites will have to have .XXX( which of course only US site will comply at least until Canada, the UK , Germany et. all pass similar laws ). Now they may also try to be coy and make laws saying that ISPs are required to block all sites containing .XXX, but that won't fly and they know it. So what they will do is saying that ISP block .XXX by fault but make it accessable to those who REQUEST it. And of course I'm sure they won't have a problem if the ISPs also CHARGE for this service. And of course I'm sure there will be some stipulation that any ISPs can ban any adult site that is not using .XXX once they become aware of it. And trust me the Jesus freaks will make ISPs aware of any non .XXX adult sites they find.

Now face it most of the money is made from Americans buying porn. So now Americans can only get access when they REQUEST from their ISP to remove the porn block. How many would do this even for FREE? Not many. How many are willing to PAY for it? Not many. Now those they do, how many are going to pay for a porn site membership? Very few because in thier minds they are already paying for porn.

Luckily they're as many Jesus freaks against .XXX as are for it so having the ememy split amoungst themselves is good. Also if .XXX comes to pass any MANDATORY laws requiring adult websites use .XXX will be challenged in court and will take years to finally get a decision on. even if those lawsget the OK by the Surpreme Court the ISP blocking will also be challeneged in court for years. I'm thinking 2015 before .XXX is mandatory and ISPs have to block .XXX sites, if at all.

you will be able to get free-teen-big-boobs-sex.xxx but don't expect to pick anything up much better than that....

.xxx Will Have a Catastrophic Effect on the Entire Online Porn Industry!

If it goes through it may intially be on a voluntary basis. Eventually it will become mandatory. After this happens the entire online porn industry will have to be completely re-wired so to speak.

Think about it...your back links, reciprocal links, sponsor links, every gallery and free site ever submitted to your TGP or link list, not to mention your search engine positions etc. EVERYTHING...ALL GONE!

Let your voice be heard!

Send an email opposing .xxx

who the fuck supports .xxx i want to hear there reason to support it

You know - the solution is simple. The domains are looked into a database on icann. All we need to do is to make our porn database with domains and write some small plugins that redirect the urls to the proper computers. In other words overwrite ICANN. Next step after this is to tell them to fuck off, as simple as that.
As an example we put a machine: 100.100.100.100 - as begin the top DNS server. It will have a database with the correspondance between the IP address and the .sex domain (just gave an example) and the plugin just redirects you to that machine. Simple shit...

And I do not think that the ISP has the right to block where you go - the only country I think that does this is China. They shoot people that oppose the goverment too...

So this .xxx shit is just a storm in a glass of water.

That's great, the problem is that 99% of the surfers won't have the toolbar installed so those .sex domains will be useless...
