All hail AVG from grisoft - better than the bigger-named paid anti-virus programs by far - during the MyDoom scare the thing was updating five times a day.

It hooks into your outlook/express (don't know about eudora and others) and screens out viruses ONLY without bugging you with permissions because someone sends you a big .jpg... it's really reallly good.

Trend Micro is not bad.Panda looks good

I agree with moneymotivates NOD32 really rocks: light, cheap, updates 3x a day now. Won Virus Bulletin awards last few years I think.

It's NOT free though, but worth of money.

AVG is a solid program :thumbsup

linux is the perfect antivirus for windows.
