Opening pages from hotlinked pics/vids

Is there a way to open a page when somebody hotlinks your content? I've found some .htaccess some time ago but it doesn't work, anyone knows about a working method? And something to stop video.yahoo.com leechers would be great too, I'm donating 2/3 gigs a day to these fuckers :Oh crap
