I think he means that in Canada our government imposes a high tax on gas. If they were to lower that gas tax our prices at the pump would be much more reasonable.

Thus he is saying that it is mostly our government who is "screwing us". not the gas companies.

I'm not blaming anybody,I'm stating a fact that the Canadian government has it's hands in more then the oil companies.And what do you base your proof on?.I was in the petroleum industry for 18 years

8 mpg truck now sitting in the drive ..100$ almost to fill it and that lasts about 300 miles if im lucky lol

seriously, you peolple have it hell good, in Australia we already pay equivelant of over $4US per gallon and its expected to rise to over $5US by august, and Europe pays even more... just sell all ya fuel guzzlers and appreciate what you got!
