Does this qualify as a lake or not? (pics)

Most of you have prolly seen my "little" pond. This is the big one, 'bout a ten minute hike through my woods. Lake or not?

Really kinda hard to get a good pic of the whole thing, too many trees.

Nice chill area you live in, regardless. Good for you man. Good for you.

Could be part of a lake... it reminds me of one close to here.

It's not really. A little brackish along the shoreline I'm standing on, about it.

Hard to say for sure from the pics - I'd go with pond.

Nice area. What's the mosquito and blackfly count?

After Shock Media 05-06-2006 02:08 PM

General rule, if you can skip a rock across it. It is a pond.

jimthefiend 05-06-2006 03:12 PM

I've just been up there with a chainsaw clearing shoreline.

Anyone know of a good company to outsource that sort of thing to?

I'm really tired. heh

wyldblyss 05-06-2006 03:19 PM

Technically that would be a pond..but who cares what it is...it is water...it has fish....still makes you a lucky son-of-a-b for having that on your property.

aico 05-06-2006 03:24 PM

Looks nice. Is it steam fed? Seen any snakes yet? My lagoon has a shitload of snakes around it in several spots.

sexxxydesign.com 05-06-2006 05:35 PM

mnn at least here in Argentina in order to call a body of water a LAKE it must have an efluent and an afluent.. (water coming in.. like a river.. creek.. or something..) and water coming out .. another river thats born in that lake or something..

sexxxydesign.com 05-06-2006 05:36 PM

BTW i envy you.. having my own private lake would be my dream come true ! btw where is it?

woj 05-06-2006 06:04 PM

yea, it's a lake...

Shok 05-06-2006 06:09 PM
