I have had a many a conversation with Steve about this one over the years!
I personally am glad to see this one coming. It will be up there with the stunt planes. Whens the promotion coming out |
Better be a preshow experience to avoid vomit in waitlessness :)
I'd love to experience waitlessness! Anyone who will experience this will come back with a rare perspective. Sure can't beat Steve and his HOLLY SHIT crazy ideas :thumbsup |

Ah the good ol' days... |
I think Tanker actually showed me this forever ago and said that you had found it and wanted to make it an official LS event!
Looks awesome. Can't wait to see you guys in the T dot next week! ***edit sorry despite sitting in the same room as my husband I did not know we both spotted this thread LoL I guess I remembered right for once LOL |
Quote:
hehe what are you doing over there on the other side of the room? |
omg, you guys need to get a life. :1orglaugh
|
I remember seeing this posted last year too, this looks awesome, but what a sticker price to go.

for $3700 I can give you a long fucking list of true once in a lifetime things you can do in florida....and spending a total of 75 seconds being weightless for almost $4000 is no where in that list |
I have been thinking about this, and if you really feel the need to spend $3700 for a once in a lifetime excursion, I would love to set up a webmaster demolition derby. I will buy 10-20 junker cars and we will rent out a demolition derby stadium and every person gets their own car, and we just go to fucking town....never again will be able to say that you got to crash head on at 30mph into sleazydream in a chevy nova

We came pretty close to this in Lightspeed go kart racing a few years ago! As for the vomit comet, what a great idea!! I can't wait to see what promotion Steve puts together for the savvy webmasters to win. Knowing Steve, it should be pretty creative!! Matt |

:1orglaugh weightlessness, on the other hand would just be cool :thumbsup |
Aw man! I've always thought having nookie in space (weightless) would be awesome! Here's my chance!!!!
|
3,700 could pay for a year of community college.

Looks like a blast ... Do we do it Naked ?
|
wow, i was surprised by the price. I wasnt expecting it too cost that much.

the last thing id want is a bunch of ding dongs floating around me and the smell of webmaster ass. with clothes on, this could be the coolest webmaster adventure outing ever. |
Kiwigirl and CynthiaSin want to go.
|
fantastic idea.
|
I'm surprised this hasn't been done at a Webmaster event before. Dropping 60 grand or so on your top 20 affiliates or as a promotion for the chance to do something most people will never experience instead of hosting yet another drunken free for all party will get you a lotta exposure. :thumbsup
As a Space nerd, I've been itching to do it since I heard about it a year or two ago. The plane was in Vegas this week actually. If you get enough people, you can charter it from Phoenix, Vegas or wherever instead of having to travel to Florida. The price is quite reasonable for what you are doing as heading into the wild blue yonder ain't cheap... Flight in fighter jet ~$1000 Zero G ~$3000 Flight in Russian MIG to edge of Space ~$20,000 2 day high altitude balloon flight to edge of Space ~$30,000 Seat on Virgin Galactic ~$100,000 Trip to International Space Station ~$20 million |
You have been talking about these since the Stunt Flights (never forget mine btw) So lets do this and stop thinking about it.. hehe I mean its been 4 years of thinking.
:thumbsup |
You KNOW im down steve!!!
HELL YES ZERO G! twinkley |
damn that looks pretty awesome.
|
THAT looks awesome!
