Just Took Delivery of 2007 Camry Hybrid!
 

It's different driving this new hybrid. I'm looking forward to the 670 miles range between trips to the gas station. I like my Eclipse sports car and my Rav4, but since I live alone and only have two parking spaces I'll probably sell the Mitsubishi-Eclipse (it's been filmed in some porn:-)).

Now I've gotta read the Owner's Manual to better understand the operation of a hybrid!

Gas around here in San Diego is $3.38/gal:-(((

how much you pay for it? Price is probaly the only thing holding me back from getting a hybrid SUV. saving the 10 dollars here and there on gas isn't enough for me to pay 10k over sticker for the same version of the car without all the fancy technology.

i've been thinking about the lexus hybred myself.... rx

i have an infinity fx 45 but it never passes a gas pump - want something with some range...


it's either that or an escalade - i have about a year till my lease is up to make up my mind.

I walked out of there with Lo-Jack added on, and along with taxes/transport/licensing, I wrote them a check for $29,823.

I agree. If they want people driving Hybrids, drop the fuckin price on em! Make it the same price or lower. :2 cents:

I still think the savings isn't there. If you plan to keep the car for a while your just going to end up buying new batteries which will set you back a bit.

The battery, when in a Camry purchased in CA, is on full warranty for 150,000 miles:-)). I expect to either croak or buy a replacement car well before that (my Eclipse now has 91,000 miles and, due to no garage space for a third vehicle, I'm selling it well before I would have run up 150,000).

I made this hybrid purchase for the range and the environment---admittedly,the extra cost is not easily recoupable quickly!

Now, I'm off to meet up with the running club folks for volleyball at the beach where we'll have two courts (and, hopefully, some of the girls will be in their normal "flashing" mood)---I'll drive the new car there so I can get more familiar with it---after volleyball, we'll adjourn to a pub for beer and BBQ chicken.

When I get home, I hope to see a lot more emails to ICANN denouncing .xxx:-))).
