He delete my friend 's html file and add his html file to my friend 's account at freehost.

If you add his information to black list i will appreicate.

are there documents to prove that your friend has a legal right to use that content?

i know that this is relating to hacking and not content theft, but its important to consider whether this could be a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

where is the legal documentation for that content? maybe we can see it... hmm...

unlicensed content will get both accounts terminated, i'm sure. so he'd better make sure that he has those documents to hand. :2 cents:

if your friend made that gallery, his account on the freehost should be closed. He's done a great job of pushing the footer ad farther south than Australia

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. TopBucks will of course aid in getting this situation resolved and keeping whoever is attempting to be fraudulent out of our system and unpaid, but we need more information to be able to do this.

We are not saying anyone is being untruthful here, but we need more concrete information to decide what to do. Maybe the freehost can provide us that.

but if that html is stolen, it appears that your friend is telling people to signup for a trial and cancel within three days. thats not good.

CCK, seems to me that you need to contact the freehost first so they can give your friend a new password and he can have his site back. If you have the freehost contact us and let us know the information of the webmaster who originally signed up with them, then we can determine that this other person is using your friends traffic fraudulently.

As for providing information about the webmaster, we will not do. We will do what we have to do on our end to "punish" this webmaster, but there is no need for us to release his info to you.

He doesn't need a pw to steal your html. It's called 'view source' on every browser.

The best thing you can do is contact the freehost and shut him down. If topbucks can delete his account, more power to ya.

People usually do it to give the hacker/cheater etc a bad name, and thus perhaps lose him some business in the future.. but since this guy doesn't know who did it, he probably should have dealt with this with Topbucks directly.
