For Sale: TEAMTUSHIE.COM
The domain TEAMTUSHIE.COM is available -- just the domain, no design or anything else. It was an ass-lover site, but now there's a site with the same name (but a less common spelling).
Ever since Seymore Butts but up TEAMTUSHY.COM, my domain (TEAMTUSHIE.COM) has been losing type-ins to their site. By the same token, my site gets a lot of type-ins for THEIR site. I put up a forwarding URL to their affiliate program, and it's converting at 1:224. I'm not really interested in keeping the domain going myself, so I'm willing to sell it. ICQ me at 501917 or post here, and let's do a deal. |
just let sit.. i'm sure it makes more then the 8 bucks to renew it. :2 cents:
|
Oh yeah, it makes many times that amount, lol ...
... but it's probably much more valuable to someone else. Maybe I can just give it to Adam and see if he can do something nice with it. |
And since it matters to some people:
Creation Date: 16-may-2003 Also, if someone wants a fully-developed site on that domain, promoting the Seymore Butts affiliate program, that's a possibility to build out and include in the price, too. |
Bump, bump!
|
great domain, heres a bump
|
Thanks. I can do this deal today, depending on what you plan on doing with the domain ... I don't think Adam would appreciate it pointing at a piss/shit sponsor or something.
ICQ or post here to make an offer. |

Nice name... what are you wanting to get for it??

Partially, the price will depend on what the user is going to DO with it. I don't think Adam would appreciate having someone put up a scat or pissing site. We'll work from the honor system there -- a promise not to do anything crazy is enough for me. I'm looking for a buyer who also sees the potential value appreciation of the domain -- the previous site I was running on it happened to be an anal site (I had a cartoonish guy introducing sets of "Team Tushie" -- the girls who were on the site). When the Seymore Butts traffic started to filter in (from Google searches, I decided to abandon the project, because I didn't want to to conflict with that brand. Now, after about 3 years, I'm ready to sell the domain. I think that as the seasons of Family Business on the Showtime channel go on (and the Seymore Butts brand rises in popularity), this site becomes more and more valuable. Because it is a gamble on the buyer's part (that it will increase in value) and also on mine (that it won't increase SO much, that I'm crazy to sell it now), I'd like to meet somewhere in the middle for this domain. Not crazy-dollars, but not chump change, either. I've seen a few offers come across in ICQ in the low five-figures (very low, to be honest), but it's difficult sometimes to separate people who are just trying to look successful from people who can actually pull the trigger on a deal. Also, it might be good for me to offer the Seymore Butts team a right of first refusal -- although I don't believe this domain to fall into a "squatting" category (because it is not intended to draw on their brand, or be a 'typo' domain), the potential for abuse clearly exists if the domain is in the wrong hands. The right offer, mid-fives, would "close the deal" in the short term. A lower-level offer would probably need to be accompanied by a few paragraphs on the intended use of the domain. That's probably not something that closes via GFY, but maybe a savvy buyer will surprise me. Sorry if that's wordy, I just think it's a complex answer. I'm not in a position to "need" quick cash or anything, and am happy to sit on it until I find a buyer I'm comfortable with. Those people making decent offers today, but seeing their offers declined because of what they intended to do with the domain, can attest to that. Serious buyers, ICQ or post here, and we'll talk. I don't want to make this one difficult, I just want to make sure the "right" people get it, at a price that's fair to everyone. |
double-post -- clearing it.

High bid is still $12,000 -- I am probably not going to take that one, because it does sales just on type-in traffic. If I don't get higher, I'll keep it. |

So you feel tushy is less common spelling than tushie? My impression is that its the other way around. Converting at 1/224 doesn't mean anything at all if its only getting a few hits a day which I suspect it is. Why not post some traffic stats for the last 6 months.
|
I disagree, and I'll show you how easy it is to make a mistake. Know Xbiz, the webmaster board? Check out the URL they linked from the word "Seymore Butts" in this news piece:
http://xbiz.com/pressrelease_piece.php?id=14599 teamtushie.com, not teamtushy.com. It's a very common spelling. |
Also, from AVN Online, with the spelling "tushie":
""In addition to that," he continues, "every month now, we're having major live-by-request events. We've contracted with some major players, such as Vivid Video. On October 29, for instance, Seymore Butts Home Movies directed a live four-hour broadcast of a shoot of one of his newest features, called Internet Tushie. Users could actually see and hear Butts direct a movie, and what they saw in their video windows on their computer screens was through Seymore's camera. It's 100% interactive, live-by- request. Users could even call and make a request to Seymore if they wanted to see a special shot during the movie." |

As in the text I posted, they spelled it "tushie." Only someone illiterate would have missed it, so I forgive you. Now let's make love. |
