usa people : where do you buy cars online?

What are good sites?
Maybe auction sites willing to ship abroad?
:)

sorry to break it to you, but a car is not a good online purchase. 99% of the cars being sold online can't be sold on the lot, and are a piece of shit.

car is something you gotta checkout and test drive before you spend the dough.

it's like asking.. any good sites where i can find a wife online?

i speak from experience. i had 3 friends who purchased cars online from high reputation sellers. all 3 cars ended up being previous rental cars and all 3 had major problems after the purchase. all 3 were sold within 6 months of purchase.

however, if you are buying some rare antique car or a lambo then you may wish to try online.

i like browsing for cars on cars.com, but i'd never buy a car online.

good luck

are you talking about sites with listings from private sellers/buyers or dealership websites.

Cars are 5 times cheaper in the usa then here.
If you can find me a wife 5 times cheaper please let me know. No testdrive needed.
:winkwink:
Thanks for the info though.
:)

Agreed. I wouldn't buy a car online.

Maybe auction sites where insurance companies sell cars that are slightly damaged? Or maybe cars that used to belong to criminals and are sold by the government?
Do such sites exist in the usa? Google only seems to bring me google adds...

This thread seems to have taken a weird direction. I have a couple recommendations. I would buy from either of these.

If I was going to buy new, I'd get it here.

http://www.carsdirect.com

Used, I'd go here. There are a ton of good dealers who do business here and are very fair with their pricing, unlike brick and mortar used car dealerships.
