Slimy bastard of a photographer...[PIC]

Shot earlier this afternoon - kinda' looks a little alien(ish)...

Just some of the nice slimy things you find in the Niagara gorge below the escarpment.

Definitely. I almost walked right by without noticing it...it wasn't very big (only looks big in macro). And it was on a 45-degree rocky slope which made it a bitch to set up the tripod. :1orglaugh

Diverse, I'd call it. The Wisconsin Glacier went through the area about 30,000 years ago and left behind all kinds of unique and interesting features to photograph.

I've made hundreds of trips to the Gorge in the last 10 years and each time I always find something interesting I'd never seen.

The best day was when I came upon some baby rattlesnakes in a small cave just below the escarpment. Contrary to the official story from Niagara Parks Commission - there ARE still Massassauga rattlers in the area. They're just harder to find these days.
