NaughtyMail are spammers and I don't like them - I get an email from them today selling me porn?! I click the delete from list link, get a message "You have been deleted from our list" and 1/2 hour later I get another spam, this time without a 'delete from list' option! :BangBang:

What the hell is that? And this is not an email that is floating around on some website where they can just harvest it - I have used this email only as a contact with several sponsors, which means that one of those companies has sold it to NaughtyMail - what the hell are those people thinking - selling webmaster emails to porn spam lists

Dude...you would never have received a mail from us with out signing up for it. The Double opt-in prodess of Naughty Mail assures that we are not spamming people.

Because we Queue mailers up 2-3 days in advance you will continue to receive e-mails for 2-3 days after you have opted out.

And there is no way that you received an e-mail from us without a remove link.

We bought Naughty Mail and the other naughty.com properites about 2 yrs ago and have moved it from a pay per e-mail to a pay per click model.

The only way you can lose money with NM now is if your sites suck!

:)

I got 2 emails from a naughty mail mailling within an hour of each other. The first one told me that I had opted in (which I hadn't, but I can accept that somebody might have gotten my email address and sold it) and had to click the graphic to complete the double opt-in. The second was a special offer from naughty mail. Seeing as I got them both delivered to me at the same time it would appear as though there might be some bugs in your double opt-in system...

to be fair, there *was* a remove link on both emails and when I emailed a complaint about it I got human response and I have not received another unsolicited email from them today.

I would have to conclude that they are maybe a little bit on the aggressive side of the email marketing fence, and aggressive email marketing can (and often does) result in complaints but it also can (and often does) result in sales.

cheers

I signed up to promote Python Pays, does that count as double opt-in for Naughty Mail? :winkwink:
