Multiple times. I've had security clearances over the years and worked for multiple law enforcement agencies.

Best tip I can give you is to stare at the wall and whatever color the wall is, repeat it in your mind over and over and over. If the color is blue, then keep telling yourself "The wall is blue." over and over in between questions.

Other then that good luck. I know people that have failed on the first question when they ask about their name and age.

1st question they asked - Are you going to lie about anything on this test?

2nd question - when you get up from the toilet, do you look at your stool?

LOL ..and then a series of other boring questions. Ex: if you were in such and such situation what would you do? etc. etc.

You have to practise a bit to get it right but heres a good method..

Stick a thumbtack in the back of your shoe , so that when you press down it pokes you.. ( you cant do it to hard or it will loook obvious )

Ok now the trick is to poke yourself during every question.

If you had a scale of how hard to poke yourself from 1-10 i would say about a 3.

So during TRUE questions poke yourself about a "4"
then during knowingly false questions , poke yourself about a 2 or 3 , your combined nervousness over answering a lie will basically make every question into a "4"

Now you have to remember they are going to ask you test questions to begin with , some of them will be lies so they can judge the difference between a truth and a lie. so make sure you do the opposite when your getting the test questions.. poke yourself a "3" during "truth's" and a "4" when its a lie

A lie detector test only works with yes and no questions. Pick a spot on the wall and stare at it. If you use the sugguestion of repeating the color, you could miss a question or hear the wuestion wrong, and make a mojor mistake, Just concnetrate on the spot on the wall or floor or something like that. Try to keep your voice at the same level and tone.

btw this method was perfected using an actual lie detector test

an interesting side note. when i did the above test we tried all sorts of methods , some worked a bit some didnt. The guy who let us use the machine said alot of it is how the examiner evaluates the responses.

But anyways if you ever get a chance to use one , heres some funny questions to try.

I took one years ago when I was almost a sheriff. Everything will come out the truth if you convince yourself of it for a few weeks ahead of time :thumbsup They do ask you some funny shit, like "Have you ever had sex with an animal?" was one they asked me :1orglaugh

I was once driven from my home town to austin texas by a police detective, for the sole purpose of being given a lie detector test by the "top guy in texas".

I lied my ass off (was looking at 5 years min). I passed. The whole 3 hour trip I did nothing but go over the lies in my head, trying my damndest to convience myself they were true. It must have worked.

So after, I was cleared of all charges. And I went squeaky clean. I never want to be in that position again.
