French Fries / Freedom Fries?
 

How are they called now in the US? Were they renamed at all? Back to french fries?

Freedom fries? Never heard of that. In the U.S. we call them "Slave fries."

They have been renamed to the politically correct term.

Slices of potato that are placed in hot oil and cooked until a desired crispy texture and flavour is reached.

I dont know anyone who ACTUALLY ever called them "freedom fries".

I don't think that ever caught on because it was so utterly stupid

I'd hate to have to say all that at the drive-thru.

They are french fries, and will always be french fries. I didn't seen anyone going to IHOP and changing the name of french toast.

coming from an american we're really stupid 80% of the time. no wonder so many countries in the world hate us. we visit other countries and say and do the dumpest shit possible... (small rant) they're FRENCH FRIES.
