CCbill must be making a GRIP of $$$ every fucking second!

I just got three signup emails within ten seconds and the numbers end in 796..800..and 877..

the first two came right on top of each other so that means that the surfers probably signed up at the same time..8 seconds later, 77 more signups were counted...

Man It must be a money machine over at CCBill..

DaddyHalbucks 05-03-2006 08:55 PM

What would YOU know about signups?

AmateurFlix 05-03-2006 09:09 PM

just for the fun of it, the actual #'s are no doubt way off from this:

81 signups in 8 seconds ~ 10 signups per second
10/second = 864000 signups per day
864k * ~$30 per sale = $25,920,000
ccbill takes what 15% of that?
so that's $3,888,000 per day for them

that's gotta be a fluke lol

Yeah, that math definately doesn't work. That'd make them a billion dollar company.

They're thexy, but they're not THAT thexy!

BVF 05-03-2006 09:19 PM

Since both of those sales were made by affiliates..I was able to see the actual time...

So between 20:45:12 and 20:45:18 ccbill clocked four sales..That wasn't even a whole second.

actually the numbers dont seem that far off with 8000 webmasters making 100 sales a day isnt too far off. A ton of programs use them.

How much do the credit card companies take of that 15%? 10% or more?

Egomancer 05-05-2006 07:44 AM

what kinda math is that? that's 6 seconds, not less then 1 second.

18-

6

4 sales in 6 seconds = 1 sale every 1.5 seconds, that's like 1st grade math

The Duck 05-05-2006 07:49 AM

damn you all to hell

well for you math
they dont rake in 15%... well actually i would bet their average is ~14%
and of that visa and mc get their share of course
i dont know the exact percentage but its going to be at least 4%

probably so many people doing it, it will kill most huge server clusters anyway

they must have some beefy machinery

then their big sponsors (who make most of the signups) are on 8-10% , so the profit margin declines again. A large chunk of those signups are then trials $1-8. Add to that the time of day those transaction numbers came in and how it would fluctuate during other times of the day, if the day was a holiday/weekend.... the number of new sites online...of affiliates changing from other sponsors ....of sponsors changing processing pages.... a lot of variables there to consider.

Then you need to wonder if the member ids are only increasing by 1 each transaction.

Then of course, old recurring members don't get issued new ID#'s...so theres a lot in the background you don't see.

Add in staff costs, servers, bandwidth and such and you MIGHT have a rough figure ;)

Who's confused now?

maxjohan 05-06-2006 06:33 AM

fuck yeah, theyre taking 14.something% from me. it sucks when you see $500 for the week and then you get the check for $400. then you wonder. but they are surely the most secure. its sucks when there is no others out there.

biskoppen 05-06-2006 08:54 AM

The number of sales they process per hour varies like insane according to my data.. Some hours around 2k .. some over 10k

CaptainWolfy 05-06-2006 08:54 AM

thats alot of signups..

Edgey Boy 05-06-2006 10:48 AM

teksonline 05-06-2006 12:29 PM
