** Popup Code For Ff/sp2/etc Anyone? **
 

Anyone here have any popup code / flash file / etc that can be used to get around popup blockers in IE and FF (1.5+)??

i've stumbled across some that look to be using flash, but not sure where to start with that..

can someone point me in the right direction?

I'm pretty lazy, so:

IE - SmokeyTheBear posted one a while ago. If the seach is working, you may find it that way.

FireFox - SWF basic popper = embed a flash movie on the page, have the first frame have a get URL action that pops the new window. Second frame stop().

Work both together: Sniff for IE via javascript, use IE functions, else document.write the embed tag of the SWF file.

the SWF popper for FF doesn't work as of 1.5

privacy.popups.disable_from_plugins default is 2 now

I talked to tical about this earlier today basicly the real question is does anyone have any new angles/ideas for FF 1.5+ :)

Read this topic and the zip file url there with the Flash SWF - works great in the IE6 with XP SP2 popup blocker enabled, but in Opera (and Firefox, I suppose), if check "Block all pop-ups" don't work.
Better than nothing cause 90% of surfers use IE
