He took a lot fo shots on the way down.

I have seen more brutal knockouts in MMA.

I have seen lots of more beatiful knock outs on K1

Pretty sure that is NOT the most brutal. Guys have been killed in the ring and carried out on stretchers ya know.

One hit KO's are not brutal because they take no punishment.

i remember that fight...
that took alot of confidence out of morrison. it was downhill from there.

I remember morrison saying that he hit mercer with all he had and it didnt do anything. His trainer commented on that and said morrison was too young of a fighter to know what to do in that scenario.
The ref should have stopped it much sooner.

FYI that is by far not the most brutal knockout in heavyweight history.
Tyson burbick was bad, there have even been some deaths in the sport. Morrison/mercer was one of the more shocking knock outs because the fight was going in morrisons direction.
