My thoughts on the Mexican strike
Having ventured out on the streets I only have one request. Any possibility of making this a regular thing?
I can't believe how easy it is to drive around. The freeways are emptier than they are on Jewish holidays, and that is saying something. |
Yes, and it took an hour for me to get served at TGI Fridays. Lucky for me, the meal didn't cost $50 yet, but without cheap labor it will soon.
|
so where did they all go?

Bwahahaha This may not turn out to be a good thing for them. I'd like to see the economic impact reports on this situation. |
I predict a bunch of jobless immigrants tomorrow
I just called and fired my lawn service for not showing up today. they were going to get fired soon anyway because they havent been doing the job that i pay them to do very well, got weeds in my flower beds that have been there for 3 weeks and 2 broken sprinkler heads for same amount of time... but not showing up today was just the final straw. |

There is will be an econmic impact. |
It will be interesting to see the results of this....

For small business that run sweat shops it will hurt but the big corps only use them as janitors so it won't effect them at all

Will this weeks George Lopez show be a repeat?

I live in a retirement community, and I haven't seen any change in traffic or service.
