Not "under" the falls...but up close, yeah. There are still several Maid of the Mist boats that operate throughout the summer months. I think Pete-KT posted a shot or two of them in his recent thread.

Nope, don't mind at all. Nice closeups of the Maids. Loaded with 'blue smarties' (local nickname for the tourists in the blue Glad bags, heh).

Hence the new pics of the Maids that Pete-KT posted in this thread. Yes, they're in the water and doing tours.

As for the new casino - yep...my wife and I go there often (mostly for the buffet). The place is stunning. The generator show in the main lobby is amazing (the casino was built on the grounds of an old hydro generator station and they've incorporated that idea in the theme of the casino).

The Canadian side has far more attractions to check out (aside from gambling) than the U.S. side of the river. For the most part its also much cleaner and picturesque. Our roads are in better condition. We're the ones who illuminate both the U.S. and Canadian falls (basically making the U.S. our bitch at night).

If we really wanted to - we can also turn off the U.S. falls. We've done it before. :1orglaugh
