Back when I was a kid we used to get some pretty nasty winter weather here.

Nothing compared to say Denver or Chicago but it would be necessary to bundle up...and we'd have at least 2 weeks where we would have nothing but freezing rain etc.

Now our winters are so mild...it's like living in Los Angeles again.

I rarely wear anything heavier than a light jacket...I rarely wear pants in the winter here...mainly shorts.

It's just fucking crazy...and normally we have a nice cool spring and the cool weather for the last 3-4 years has been lasting up through June...not this year..it started to get hot as hell in April.

i don't knowwhat's up...but I sure do feel sorry for my nieces and their future family...no telling what this world will be like 20years after I'm gone.

Prolly, but its not worth worrying about as we aren't gonna be around to be flooded off the land. More than likely the human race will destroy itself before the earth destroys itself.

its raining outside - but the rain is steaming as it hits the ground! im in the uk, and its NEVER hot here. so it cant be that.. somethings going on... keep your eyes on your conversions people!

You're probably right..but it doesn't mean that this planet couldn't become seriously uncomfortable to hang out on :winkwink:

the sun will engulf earth in 2 billion yrs or so, then burn out in to a supernove in 5 billion. so it may be getting a bit warmer ...

Good grief. Are you sure it isn't just the humidity? I'm in Hastings and its been pissing down all day but certainly not hot enough to cause the rain to steam when it hits the ground.

but i remember it used to drift every winter when i was a kid, now it barely sticks! grrrr no more snow tunnelling for me... =(
