China shut down Six porn websites this week.
 
Now, I'm willing to bet they weren't paysites. They were probably password forums that leech bandwidth from all of us.

So, I am cheering the Chinese government and I hope they shut down all those "unhealthy" and immoral sites. :winkwink:

Why would you support censorship in any form? What is going on in China is bigger than content theft.

Regardless of what was on those sites, the reason they were shut down was because the Chinese govt is censoring porn on the internet, along with a lot of other stuff that their govt doesn't agree with.

On top of that who knows what the hell will happen to the poor webmasters that were running the sites.

no real different then any other countries censorship level
although i don't support these sites or what they provide but for the sake of the post i will include them , pedo sites , hacking,warez, terrorist/bomb making sites

even here in Australia , i can;t host porn or warez sites on an australian server
every country has censorship laws

not to mention defamation and slander , the list is endless

Dude, check your server logs for obvious sites/surfers hotlinking and sucking up bandwidth. See all those Chinese sites. I'm sure you do.

Now check your paysites to see how many signups you have gotten from China. Did I hear you say there are none? Of course.

What does this tell us? Tons of bandwidth burned - not a single signup ever.



Keep those bastards off the web and out of our members areas. They are contributing NOTHING to our business as webmasters or consumers. Actually they are doing more harm than good.

See the problem is that most webgurus are NOT pornographers. They are just some hidden persona that maks a few bucks from "naughty pictures."

If they started prosecuting the Internet boys in the USA. There would be a sudden exodus of them. They don't have the balls!

Whereas, a real pornographer would give the finger and keep distributing his product... One way or another.

If you notice from your logs, a lot of that content/bandwidth theft comes from sites in Chinese. Chinese adult message boards for the most part. The less Chinese sites on the web less theft. It goes hand in hand.
