it has been a month now and the website is not offline....

Any form of denial of service attack is illegal, regardless of reason. You think that just because you send 1GB of packets to a host you are affecting just that site, no .. you affect any sites that are being hosted on that system, and any router between you AND that server, which could potentially disrupt millions of systems. If you want feds at your door, feel free to packet, otherwise move on. You reported it, let them deal with it on their time.

can anyone do ddos attacks, i mean are they that easy to do? i never really understood what it is

that organization is a joke. a while back I reported a bunch of information about CP webmasters and they are still up and working...

a ddos is a bunch of infected computers pinging a site with packets at the same time, around 500 connections per computer

with a network of 100,000 computers , you can easily take anything offline

you have access to 100k online bots?

There are far superior attacked to simple DDoS out there that require far fewer machines. There are some reflection techniques that also allow for amplification that work absolute wonders. But hey, if you have a few thousand boxes sitting at your disposal, go right ahead!

Report him to the authorities. A DDOS attack may get him to move hosts, since he may figure he's been found out by people who don't like his stuff. By doing it, you may actually cause him to move before getting picked up (and locked up) by the authorities.

Its sad to say, but attacking a CP site would make you a vigilante, and the law is VERY greyish about Vigilantes.

Unfortunately you may only report them... thats about all you can do
