Test IE 7 without actually installing it.
 

It's basically to test how a page will render under IE7, not to actually have a fully functioning browser. Some things like tabs won't work with this hack.

If the beta version fucks things up, is it easy to remove and have it revert back to the old IE?

yea, like I'm going to install anything beta from microsoft, their finished products don't even run right even after applying 2 service packs... :1orglaugh

I need serious convincing just to install or buy a version 1 full release from M$.... case in point, xbox 360. Look at how that panned out.

I don't think I'll be trying IE again anytime soon. FF is good enough for me. Maybe I'm just traumatized from all the BS spyware.

It did to me as well..finally found a fix and had to remove it from the registry

ie works fine for me...

for some reason I can even install the new beta. And MS "help" isn't much. All their site says is I'm suppose to edit permisions in my registry SOMEWHERE but they won't say where.
