Owned: DNA Frees Dude From Jail, Dies In Hit & Run Accident.

This is soooo fucked up. Dude spent over a decade in jail on a charge that DNA later freed him. Then he gets hit by a hit and run driver and is killed.

ContentSHOOTER 04-29-2006 09:31 AM

Now that is fucked up:Oh crap

xclusive 04-29-2006 09:32 AM

that sucks

crockett 04-29-2006 09:35 AM

Talk about shitty luck.. at least he was lucky enough to be out of jail for a year.. That really has to suck to be locked away in jail for a crime you didn't commit. I think that would drive me crazy..

"Young had a lawsuit pending against the city and Cook County officials alleging false imprisonment and malicious prosecution. Officials have denied the allegations."

Don't have to guess. Seems the quick answer was/is? if a crime was committed, round up the closest black man.

On another note, with his pending suit, my guess is someone didn't want to let any skeletons out of their closet, so he was eliminated.

MrQ 04-29-2006 09:43 AM

Reckon the cops are behind the hit and run? You know, to save them having to pay out millions to this guy?

Expo_Vids 04-29-2006 10:22 AM

Geeze that is really sad.

minusonebit 04-29-2006 10:41 AM

I bet the city is happy, they wont have to pay out now unless the family keeps the legal action alive.

Yep he's black. Didn't want to put that in the post as I didn't think it was the issue. The issue is he was wrongly convicted and imprisoned during his best years and suddenly he's bumped off like that. Sure questions arise and I'm more than sure there's gonna be a petition for a federal investigation unless his estate shuts up, accepts small money and rolls on.

If his skin color had anything to do with it then there should be hell to pay. The more I've recently had to examine the U.S. penal system the more I've come to understand why so many people hate law enforcement and the courts. What I'm finding out is just unbelievable. Un-fucking-believable.

tyler. 04-29-2006 10:49 AM

that really sucks

It depends...this story is so sad but since there's no way to know if the guy was just a royal asshole who ended up getting shafted anyway it's hard to tell.

It's like some people should be in jail and aren't and some people who are in jail shouldn't be.

It's a story worth keeping an eye on.

Expo_Vids 04-29-2006 01:05 PM

I don't feel sorry for him. Most of these guys who get out of prison due to DNA evidence have been busted several other times for violent crimes which THEY DID commit.

Fuck him :321GFY

madawgz 04-29-2006 01:18 PM

mechanicvirus 04-29-2006 01:19 PM
