I've been listening to 'rammstien' and I'm was wondering about the 'front man's' enunciation . . . Is his German very clearly stated like Frank Sinatra when he's singing (FS enunciates extremely clearly) or his German exaggerated? How close is the German to everyday spoken German?

he pronounces very clearly, but the "R" is very exaggerated... in everyday life you won't find many people speaking like this... sounds like a 3rd reich speech sometimes ;)

so german has evloved in the last 50-60 years? more relaxed? english has in the states not to sure about england though

I think so... I guess it has lost it's prussian influence...

that's what I was wondering: which class or personality influenced the 'spoken language' at the time . . . If AH had a particular regional accent, if there were a few particular 'speakers . . radio announcers etc . .'
