Need a new SUV, what do you suggest?

The Durango is going to one of my employees, so I need a new one. Give me your thoughts...........

I'm waiting for the new 07 Escalade ESV personally... I like the Range Rover Sport a lot but it's too small for my needs.

Yeah, the Escalade is in the top 5, I was thinking about the new superfast Jeep until I saw it, man, that thing is fugly!!

I was looking at the LR3 because of it's offroad ability. Instead I'm buying a Jeep Wrangler tomorrow to play in the mud with and now am looking at the Mercedes M series for a daily driver.

I had a Pathfinder that I loved but I plan on leasing this time (used to always lease, bought the last 3 cars and I'm going back to leasing) and with the residuals so low, the monthly payment on the Pathfinder and 4Runner - was looking at both - is about the same as the LR3 and M-series.

I have an EB Exploder now. Just got back from taking into the shop for the umpteenth time. I'm getting rid of it before the warranty runs out. I'll miss the good friends I've made at the Ford service center!!

The Escalade looks awesome

stickyfingerz 04-28-2006 09:30 PM

Jeep Grand Cherokee hands down unless you are going to actually go off road with it.

Give this a read. :winkwink:

Who actually "needs" an SUV besides law enforcement and people hauling large tools?

Hellpuppy owns a 300SRT and they have track events you can go to where you can drive all the SRTs. He said the Jeep was AWESOME! "Faster than stink" I believe were his exact words :winkwink: The only thing he didn't like was that he couldn't go sideways on the track like he could with the Viper, Charger, Magnum, etc.

But he said there was a tiny dip in the road and it scraped bottom, so yeah, if you're actually going offroad, it's useless.

Someone who lives on a 4WD only road where she can rarely get deliveries and therefore must get things herself. That would be me :thumbsup

Plus after driving SUVs for so long I HATE driving cars. You can't see anything :(

Haha you are clueless. After I get the two carseats in our Grand Cherokee and two adults in front thats about it. People always have this idea that suvs are big monster trucks I guess. lol

Ya I looked at one of the 300 srt8's about a week before the Phoenix show. Bad ass is the word for it. Wifey and I are talking about buying one of each if all keeps going as well as it has this last month for us. Time to get rid of the old intrepid and Grand Cherokee and put some new car smell in the driveway soon. :thumbsup :thumbsup

The manual's about 800 pages. I still don't think he's figured out all the things it does yet :winkwink:

I love the new Denali's and Tahoe's. If you want to spend a little bit more go for a Esclade. Those would be my top 3 choices.

Manowar 04-29-2006 07:45 AM

the new escalade

HushMoney 04-29-2006 08:24 AM

Alright, the upside to living at the beach is obvious, the downside is my garage is a little smaller than normal, just measured and started comparing length, and so far, the Navigator and Tahoe are out. Escalade is still in.....

Hummer H2!

Doctor Dre 04-29-2006 11:38 AM

Depends on your budjets... Navigators, Jeeps, Escalades and a couple others are really nice ;) i personally wouldnt get caught driving one of thoses things anymore

Peaches 04-29-2006 01:02 PM

I just traded in the Exploder for a Wrangler - what a fun toy! :) I couldn't see driving it every day though - too rough for me. Going to look at the ML350 next week for a daily car.

Pornwolf 04-29-2006 01:32 PM

Escalade.

What, you think there's another choice for the owner of a program called Ho Dough?

Nope, there's no other choice my friend. It's the only SUV with a steering wheel made for those with strong pimp hands... at least until the new G-Wagon is released.
