How to loose a quarters profit in three days.

Well early Wednesday morning all was just wonderful until I sat up in bed. When I sat up I heard a tiny gurgle noise and then the sound of water dripping on the floor. I peaked over the side of the bed to see what I could of spilt. To my shock and dismay I saw a waterfall of blood coming off the bed and pooling on the floor. I proceeded to get up, and noticed the bed was covered in wet blood.

Well apparently I burst a small artery in my leg under some thin scar tissue. So I spent the last several days in the hospital. A couple of transfusions latter and a small visit with a surgeon and I am back.

Good news is I am better. Bad news is I prolly just wiped out my entire first quarters profits. Oh well live and go on with it.

For those that were trying to contact me or whatnot. Sorry I was late on anything and sorry I was unavailable. I will give a discount on all services that I was late on and I will deliver the rest on time. Thanks for the understanding in advance.

Aside from a possible stroke or heart attack when I actually view the bill, all should be perfectly cool.

Oddly I was very calm and made a very small deal of it. Fiance came back towards the room as I got up and asked me if everything was ok. I said yeah but you will need to take me to the hospital, I cut myself somehow. She proceeded to sort of freak the fuck out when she saw just how much blood was there. Asked if we need to call 911 etc. I said nah just drive me up there and when we get their go inside and say you need help and a gurny. (faster than waiting for a damn ambulance).

I just so damn hate hospitals. :Oh crap

Yup if you can qualify for it, it does help. For me health insurance is not an option.

I didn't. When I sat up the very fragile or what turned out to be fragile scar tissue from an old wound stretched and burst open when the small artery under it burst.

Pornwolf 04-28-2006 08:26 PM

Are you in Canada? I thought everyone had free healthcare up there?

Will not be picked up by any health insurance company or well they technically will pick you up and charge you obscene rates, they will not cover anything that is tied to a preexisting condition. Basically almost anything that happens to me can or would be tied to a preexisting condition unless I was hit by a car or something I suppose.

Well ER is always crazy come bill time.
Two units of blood will also add up.
Assorted blood work ups.
Surgeon, anesthesiologist, op room so forth.
Yeah I am positive the bill will be crazy.

Glad to hear you are doing better.

Also glad I live in Canada, and I wouldn't be financially punished for situations such as this.
